This is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, retrieve an official booking record, or change a jail or court entry. For a definitive answer, contact the sheriff, jail, police department, court, or corrections agency that created the record.
Official Dougherty Contacts
The Sheriff's Office does not publish public-counter hours for every division. Call before visiting, and use the contact-page ZIP shown for jail correspondence while confirming the address by phone because another county page uses a different ZIP.

Where to Send Each Question
Choose the office by record type. A search result from one system cannot answer every custody or case question.
- For a person currently held, use the DCSO current-inmate catalog. For an extremely recent intake, call Jail Intake.
- For a released or older Dougherty County booking sheet and booking photograph, email DCJF@dougherty.ga.us with the name, date, identifier, and electronic-copy request.
- For an Albany Police incident or arrest report, submit through the Albany JustFOIA portal; list any existing photograph separately.
- For a court outcome, use the Dougherty clerk case search or the court handling the charge. Albany Municipal Court covers city ordinances, traffic matters, and specified misdemeanors.
- For a warrant procedure question, call DCSO Warrants/Civil at 229-302-3605. For immediate danger, call 911.
- For a sentenced state offender, use the Georgia Department of Corrections offender query or its open-records route.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator. These systems do not replace the county roster.
Request Details to Include
A records custodian can work faster when the request names an existing record and gives a narrow date range. For a DCSO request, state that the request seeks both the booking record and booking or identification photograph. Include the full name, approximate booking date, known booking or case number, and an email for delivery. Ask for a cost estimate before charges and for the specific exemption if material is withheld.
Georgia's Open Records Act ordinarily calls for an initial response within three business days. The office may provide a timing and cost response when production cannot occur then. A response deadline is not a promise that every requested image is public or still retained.
Private Reference Questions
Questions about a page's wording or source links can be directed through the private operator's available contact method. Questions about custody, release, a warrant, bond, a booking photo, a court date, or a disposition must go to the government custodian. No message sent to this reference service can change an official record or substitute for a court filing.
Booking and news records describe accusations. The official court disposition is the later record that shows whether a charge was changed, dismissed, resolved by plea, or ended in a judgment.
